Our Family Tradition

Over 40 Years of Fresh Pasta Excellence

For more than four decades, our family has been a leader in fresh pasta production. Lidia Muceli, our master pasta maker and chef, is the owner of the first traditional Sardinian pasta factory in the village of Jerzu, in Ogliastra. Culurgionis are a humble yet iconic dish, deeply tied to Sardinia’s agropastoral heritage. Despite their simple ingredients, their unique flavor wins over everyone who tries them. But it’s not just their taste that makes them special—they hold deep cultural and symbolic significance. In ancient times, culurgionis were offered as a gift to the Mother Goddess, a symbol of gratitude for a bountiful harvest. Their signature closure, shaped like a wheat spike (Sa Spighitta), originates from this sacred tradition. There are many fascinating stories and customs linked to culurgionis, and we’ll explore them together during our Culurgionis Workshop in Ogliastra!

We have shared our passion for traditional Sardinian pasta with people from all over the world.  If you too want to discover the secrets of Culurgionis from Ogliastra, you’re in the right place!

A culinary Journey

Our Culurgionis Workshops in Ogliastra take place in our villa, nestled in the peaceful Jerzu countryside. Surrounded by olive groves and vineyards, it is the perfect setting for an authentic and immersive experience.

The culinary journey begins with a brief introduction and the distribution of the necessary equipment—a chef’s apron and hat—before diving into the fascinating history and traditions of Culurgionis from Ogliastra.

After a guided tasting of the fresh ingredients used for the culurgionis filling, we will start making the fresh pasta and filling, step by step. Once the dough and filling are ready and have cooled, we will move on to the most delicate part: closing the culurgionis using the traditional "spike" technique (Sa Spighitta).

Together, we will craft our culurgionis, and at the end of the workshop, you can choose your preferred way to enjoy the experience:
- Tasting on-site
- Taking your handmade culurgionis home
- Enjoying a full dinner at our Home Restaurant

As our name suggests, we are a family of creatives, so during the tasting, we will accompany your culinary experience with our own music, making it even more special. Yes,

Our Culurgionis Workshop in Ogliastra is a 360° immersive experience!

Culurgionis Workshop in Ogliastra Reviews

Unforgettable evening for human and culinary experience. With great patience, Mrs. Lidia led us in the creation of culurgiones – for which she doses the ingredients with wisdom – in her kitchen. Subsequently he welcomed us, together with Francesca and Luciano, in the dining room where we were able to taste a rich variety of “zero meter” products from their gardens.

Luciano

As everyone writes, it’s a magical place!
An experience to live, both for the culurgioni and for dinner with friends!
An experience to be lived with a mind open to sharing.
Lidia, Francesca, Gioele were fantastic, they opened their home to us and made us feel part of it!
I would do it again 100 times!
Don’t miss the chance to discover true company and the true Sardinian soul!

Alessandro

Our Culurgionis Workshop in Ogliastra

We believe in the power of sharing and hospitality.

For over 40 years, culurgionis have been a symbol of our family, a fundamental part of our story. Lidia Muceli, founder of the first traditional pasta factory in Jerzu, the land of wine and culurgionis, has dedicated her life to perfecting this craft. Today, her laboratory supplies Michelin-starred restaurants, luxury hotels, and, most importantly, the people of Jerzu. For us, the greatest recognition is this: When those who know the recipe and could make them at home still choose your culurgionis—that’s when you know you’ve truly succeeded. Over time, more and more travelers visiting our town, fascinated by our traditions, began asking us to teach them the art of Culurgionis from Ogliastra. And so, we answered their call—creating our Culurgionis Workshop in Ogliastra.
