Culurgionis (or culurgiones) are perhaps the most famous and beloved traditional Sardinian dish. Originally a “peasant” dish from the island’s agro-pastoral tradition, culurgionis are made with simple ingredients but offer an incredibly unique flavour.

In our Culurgionis Workshop in Ogliastra, you’ll be guided by Lidia, an expert pasta maker, through an authentic experience of Sardinian cuisine.

Cooking classes in Ogliastra: Coccoi Prena

One coccoi prena is never enough — they’re so delicious, you’ll want another!

Deeply rooted in Ogliastra’s agro-pastoral tradition, coccoi prenas were traditionally made on bread-baking days using leftover ingredients. Today, they’re also made with a crunchy dough that contrasts beautifully with the creamy filling. Perfect as a starter, a main dish, or even a savoury snack at any time of the day.

In our Coccoi Prena Workshop, you’ll learn how to:

  • Make the traditional potato filling.
  • Roll out the dough.
  • Perfect the iconic decorative closure that resembles the rays of the sun.

Once baked, we’ll enjoy them together in our Home Restaurant.

It’s not Easter in Sardinia without Pardule!

While traditionally a festive Easter treat, these sweet ricotta tarts are now enjoyed all year round. Pardule feature a delicate pastry shell filled with a creamy mix of ricotta and citrus zest, releasing irresistible aromas.

In our Pardule Workshop, you’ll learn how to make two versions:

  • One with fresh ricotta.
  • One with Su Casu e Matula, a raw, unsalted cheese made in spring that gives the filling an authentic, delicate flavour.

 

We use only fresh, high-quality, seasonal ingredients, respecting both tradition and nature’s cycles.

At just 19 years old, Lidia Muceli opened the first traditional pasta shop in Jerzu, a small village in Ogliastra.
Starting a pasta business in a place where everyone already knows how to make their own wasn’t easy.
But over 40 years later, Lidia’s pasta shop is thriving, serving not only locals but also Michelin-starred restaurants and luxury hotels, all drawn to her dedication to quality and tradition.

As the founder of Artist’s Home Restaurant, Lidia now opens the doors to her villa in Ogliastra to share her knowledge and passion with visitors. She’ll personally guide you through the process of making some of Sardinia’s most iconic dishes, including: Culurgionis, Coccoi Prena, Coccoi e Tamata, Pardule, Seadas.

At the end of each workshop, you’ll have the chance to enjoy your creations together in our Home Restaurant or take them home to share with your loved ones.
